This site has been set up to provide information to anyone interested in the activities of Fenton Chess Club, be they members or anyone else who is interested in chess. 28/04/08.The C team played host to top of the table Cheddleton H tonight, Carl was a late replacement for Joe who was feeling ill and was the only player to win for Fenton, Robert Taylor kept the score respectable with a good draw on board 1. Fenton C 1½-2½ Cheddleton H.
28/04/08.Fenton B made the short journey to Meir Chess Club hoping to pick up 2 more points against a far weaker Meir C team, Fenton got off to a good start with John winning on board one but then Meir pulled the game back level winning board 4, Danny then won on board 2 but unfortunately Richard lost on board 3.

22/04/08.Read Mark Whitby's report on last nights U110 Cup Final.
21/04/08.Fenton beat Holmes Chapel tonight in the U110 Cup Final. A close match throughout with 4 of the boards evenly matched however Fenton's board 5 outgraded his opponent by 75 points, wins by Danny Griffiths on board 3 and Geoff Yates on board 5 plus draws for Abdul BK Kabiri and Robert Taylor on boards 2 and 4 secured the victory.

The club is open all year round with several inhouse tournaments and friendly matches against local clubs during the closed season. The club is a member of the North Staffs and District Chess Association. Directions can be found on the Find Us  page.
We have excellent seating and tables and light refreshments are available. The club is competitive and has a friendly atmosphere anyone interested will always be welcome .
