Welcome to the homepage of Fenton Chess Club. Formerly known as Foley Chess Club. This site has been set up to provide information to anyone interested in the activities of Fenton Chess Club. The club meets every Monday at The New Albert, 102 Albert Street Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 1JR from 7 30-10 30pm. 01/02/10. Fenton ended on the wrong side of victory tonight in the Semi-Final of the Major Trophy, (U150 5 boards) in what was a closely fought match with draws on the top 4 boards and board 5 looking like it could go either way, a nailbiting finish sadly ended in defeat for Fenton. Final score- Meir 3-2 Fenton.

30/01/10. Fenton D stretched their lead at the top of division 5 last night thanks to wins by Joe and Phil plus an excellent draw for Robert West on board 1.
Final score- Hassell 1½-2½ Fenton D.

   About Us.
2004 Inhouse Tournament The club is open all year round with several inhouse tournaments and friendly matches against local clubs during the closed season. The club is a member of the North Staffs and District Chess Association. Directions can be found on the Find Us  page. We have excellent seating and tables and light refreshments are available. The club is competitive and has a friendly atmosphere anyone interested will always be welcome .
